Curious Name, Outstanding Results
The name “Chata” was selected for a few reasons. It may have different meanings in different languages, but it is primarily derived from the ancient Hebrew version of the word. It has two very different meanings:
1) The primary and most common definition of the word is “to miss.” We think that a lot of small things are missed in the lab, such as the efficiency, cost savings, and throughput gained from having media, eluents and buffers outsourced by Chata.
2) The second meaning of Chata is "to make pure." That is a major part of our offering. We prepare custom solutions made from traceable pure ingredients and package them in innovative systems that minimize exposure to extractables and contaminants.
